I hope you are all well, keeping safe and staying inside.
Although our doors are closed we are still here to help if you have an emergency during these unprecedented times. Our phone is still being answered to alleviate any concerns and organise for you to be seen in the event of a severe emergency.
Under HSCNI guidelines an emergency is:
– Severe pain which you can no longer control a home
– Swelling
– Trauma
– Uncontrolled bleeding
There are 5 emergency dental sites being set up in Northern Ireland and I have volunteered to be part of this group.
Please call the Practice on 028 92 699785 first and we can triage over the phone.
Stay home, and stay safe.
Best wishes,
Lena Turner

All weekend emergency centres are now closed to the Public. If you have a dental emergency please ring the Practice (028 92 699 785) for advice between 9am and 12 noon, Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you to all of our wonderful patients for their support and understanding in these unusual times.
May we assure you all, as soon as we are able to, we will be back to normal, working extra hard to look after your dental health.
In the meantime we are available for emergency advice and support.
Only call us in the event of a genuine emergency between 9:30am and 3:00pm. DO NOT come to the Practice. Please call us.
Given the unprecedented situation in NI regarding Covid 19 we felt it was important to reassure all our patients that we are doing all we can within government limitations to keep you both safe and free of dental pain and to keep our staff healthy so we can continue to help you where possible.
The situation as of Saturday 21st March is this:
The surgery is currently open each weekday from 10 am to 1pm.
Please phone us to check opening hours as these times may change.
Phone no: 02892 699785.
There will be no appointments for anybody showing the symptoms of Covid 19 (persistant cough, fever etc). These people should be self-isolating to reduce spread.
We are very limited in the treatments we can provide. Under current Government rules we can not carry out any treatments that produce spray which means no fillings, root fillings or tooth cleaning.
We would ask that any vulnerable patients ( those over 70, pregnant, or with underlying health problems) do not attend the surgery unless in a dental emergency.
Could every patient phone us before arriving to confirm lack of coronavirus symptoms.
Please attend alone if possible, not more than five minutes before an appointment and sit apart if the waiting room is occupied. On entering the building, everyone must sanitise their hands at reception. Do not turn up without an appointment, you will not be seen. On paying for treatment please use a card if possible.
Arrangements are being made to close down all dental surgeries in the weeks, or days, ahead and work shall then be carried out in centralised locations. There are no further details as yet but we shall keep you informed.
We appreciate that this is a worrying time for us all. Obviously the staff of Lena Turner Dental Practice wish every one of our valued patients good health and strength in the months ahead and we will do our absolute best to help with any dental problems but, as i said, we are very limited in what we can do, for obvious reasons.
Sincerely, please look after yourselves and stay isolated as much as possible. Keep up to date with Government advice and follow it.
Stay Safe.
Lena Turner and The Team at Lena Turner Dental Practice.
