White fillings

White fillings are becoming a popular alternative to amalgam fillings. With over 20 shades available at the Practice we can match our fillings to any particular tooth for the most natural effect.

Veneers

Veneers are an ideal way of treating discoloured or unsightly teeth, closing gaps, repairing chips and cracks, and improving alignment of the teeth. They are thin slices or porcelain that are made to fit precisely over visible surfaces of the teeth.

Crowns

Crowns may be used to repair broken or decayed teeth, to strengthen or improve their cosmetic appearance. They differ from veneers in that they encase the whole part of the tooth that is above the gum. As with white fillings the porcelain finish of the veneer or crown can be matched to your own natural tooth shading, or if you choose to restore all of your teeth then you can decide to have a lighter shade all over.

Bridges

Bridges can be used to replace missing teeth by using the standing teeth on either side of the gap to support the “false tooth” known as pontic. The porcelain pontic is fused between two porcelain crowns to fill in the area left by a missing tooth.

In Surgery Whitening

In Surgery Whitening requires you to attend for a single 1-2 hour session with your Dentist. During the appointment whitening gel is applied to your teeth and then activated by a gentle blue light for three 20 minute sessions. You will leave the surgery with your teeth many shades whiter.

Hygienist

At the Lena Turner Dental Practice you can enjoy the benefits of our dental Hygienist who will scale your teeth to remove plaque, tartar and bacteria, alleviating problems such as bleeding gums and bad breath.
